Criteria

Key Points:

• You must have a Blog (weblog). This is a BlogRing. The Ring fragment will have to be placed on the same page as your Blog (or an appropriate frame) in a static area (i.e. not in a blog entry).
• You must live in the D.C. Metro Area. You must mention your location somewhere on your site.
• Good grammar and spelling are encouraged.
• Does not crash my browser.
• Respectable load time.
• Functional in Netscape 4.78 and IE 5+
• Good, intuitive site navigation.
• Good, font and color choices (your site should be easy to read and not strain the eyes).
• A background color should always be specified. Please do not assume that simply because your pages shows white on your monitor that it will on mine, my windows are set to non-standard color specifically to check for this in my own pages.
• All credit should be giving where due, no copyright infringement.
• All links should be functional, baring unforeseen circumstances.
• No bandwidth theft.
• No forced advertising pop-ups - there are plenty of free sites that do not require pop-up ads.
• You must be over 18 years of age. Due to the often mature and intimate content of weblogs and online journals they often contain personal and/or identifying details. I feel that it would be irresponsible of me to encourage a situation which may jeopardize the safety of a minor.

Note on Participation:

• You will automatically be added to the (very low volume) announcement list. The is no required "participation" other then maintenance of the ring on your site but it would be impossible for me to let you know about new options without a reasonable way to contact you:)
